🚨BREAKING: U.S. Locked Out of Greenland as Canada–Denmark Triggers Furious Trump Response | Buffett⚡……
Canada and Denmark have signed a historic Arctic sovereignty pact that effectively blocks any third country from acquiring or militarizing Greenland without the approval of both nations. The agreement was signed in Copenhagen by Canadian leader Mark Carney and Danish Prime Minister Mette Frederiksen, with representatives from 26 countries present.
The pact creates a mutual sovereignty guarantee, meaning any threat to Greenland is treated as a threat to Canada’s Arctic territory. It also introduces a veto mechanism that requires both countries’ approval for foreign military bases, resource extraction deals, or changes to Arctic territorial status.
The United States, which had reportedly been exploring ways to gain strategic access to Greenland, was not part of the negotiations. Former President Donald Trump strongly criticized the agreement, calling it a betrayal and threatening economic sanctions.
Supporters of the pact say it protects Arctic sovereignty and prevents powerful nations from pressuring smaller countries over strategic territory.
