The government in Pyongyang accused both countries of acting as “terrorist states” and labeled U.S. President Donald Trump and Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu as “war criminals and terrorists.”
In a statement attributed to the country’s supreme leadership, North Korea declared that the actions of Washington and Tel Aviv in Iran amount to what it described as “aggression against a sovereign nation.” The statement warned that continued military operations could destabilize the Middle East and provoke wider global conflict.
The declaration, delivered under the authority of North Korean leader Kim Jong Un, went further by announcing Pyongyang’s intention to support Iran. According to the statement, North Korea is prepared to provide what it called “strategic assistance,” including nuclear capabilities and other forms of military aid, to help Iran defend itself against what it described as “foreign aggression.”
